Welcome Prof. Andrei Gennadievich Shelomentsev to join the Editorial Board

Andrey Shelomentsev, Doctor of Economics, Professor, graduated from the Sverdlovsk Mining Institute (mining engineer), worked at industrial enterprises, at leading Russian universities and research institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, has experience as a researcher, senior researcher, chief researcher, head of scientific centers of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the northern regions of Russia. Andrey currently combines research at the Ufa Federal Research Center with teaching and postgraduate work at Ural Federal University, Yugra State University, and Vladivostok State University. In recent years, he has participated in scientific projects in Russia and Kazakhstan to assess neoliberal policies, study the impact of climate change on the development of Western Siberia, the problems of unrecognized states (South Ossetia), modernize the economy of Kazakhstan, assess the social and economic consequences of the closure of the coal industry in the Urals, and assess Russia's mineral resource potential. Shelomentsev A.G. is the author of more than 300 scientific papers, is a member of the editorial boards of leading scientific journals in Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan.
He joined the editorial board of Polar and Cold Regions Research on September 20, 2025, as an editorial member.
