With a PhD in Environmental Engineering, I have 12 years of post-graduate experience related to water and wastewater treatment projects. I have designed, installed, tested, commissioned, and troubleshoot several treatment plants. Moreover, I worked on projects involving a water supply network, sewerage network, solid waste management system, and stormwater drainage systems.  As an academician, I have taught courses at the University level related to water treatment, desalination, wastewater treatment and public health engineering. I remained actively involved with different universities as a member board of undergraduate studies, industrial advisory board member and think tank member. Also, I have co-supervised at several MS and PhD students.  

As an active researcher, I have published more than 35 peer-reviewed articles with over eight  hundred citations in prestigious Journals. I am also on the reviewer panel of several well reputed Journals and Editor of some prestigious Journals. My areas of research are the biological treatment of wastewater, innovative low-cost desalination technologies and hybrid treatment technologies.

He joined the editorial board of Global Waste Valorization on September 28, 2025, as an editorial member.
