Welcome Associate Professor Hüseyin Fırat KAYIRAN to join the Editorial Board
Posted on 2025-10-03
Assoc. Prof. Hüseyin Fırat Kayıran is a mechanical engineer specializing in the fields of rotating composite cylinders and discs, functionally graded materials (FGMs), nano-reinforced hybrid composites, and thermo-mechanical stress analysis. He received his Ph.D. in 2018 and was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2023.
His research particularly focuses on the thermo-elastic and stress behavior of advanced materials such as carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic polyketone composites, B4C/SiC hybrid structures, CFRP, and Kevlar composites. His work integrates analytical modeling, Von Mises yield criteria, thermo-elasticity, and finite element methods (FEA) to investigate elastic and thermal stresses in high-performance material systems.
Dr. Kayıran has authored a total of 87 national and international publications, several of which appeared in prestigious journals. Notably, 55 of these works are single-authored, reflecting his independent research capacity and academic contribution.
In addition to his scholarly output, he actively serves as a court-appointed mechanical engineer expert witness in Turkey, preparing technical reports in areas such as vehicle damage assessment, mechanical installations, and structural safety.
Furthermore, he is a member of the editorial boards of various international journals and has received invitations from IGI Global, Nova Science Publishers, Taylor & Francis, among others, to contribute as an editor and author. He continues to expand his academic presence through international collaborations, book chapters, and conference contributions.
He joined the editorial board of Climate-Adaptive Materials Engineering on September 15, 2025.
