Crisis and Resilience (CR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to research on organizational resilience, crisis management, adaptation, and transformation in complex and uncertain environments.

The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to examine how organizations, institutions, and communities prepare for, respond to, recover from, and adapt to crises.

Aims

Crisis and Resilience aims to advance interdisciplinary understanding of how organizations and institutions develop, strengthen, and sustain resilience in the face of complex, uncertain, and rapidly changing crisis environments.

The journal focuses on the processes through which organizations learn from crises, adapt their strategies and structures, manage disruption, and pursue recovery and transformation. It welcomes research that contributes to theoretical development, empirical understanding, methodological advancement, and practical approaches to crisis and resilience.

The journal seeks to facilitate meaningful exchange among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers by connecting perspectives from organizational studies, crisis management, resilience research, public policy, governance, technology, and related fields.

Scope

The journal welcomes original research articles, review articles, case studies, theoretical contributions, methodological studies, and policy-oriented analyses addressing crisis and resilience. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

Theoretical models of organizational resilience in crisis contexts; evolution of resilience frameworks across industries and sectors; and integration of resilience with related concepts such as agility, adaptability, and sustainability.

Natural disasters and climate-related crises; public health emergencies and pandemics; economic and financial crises; cybersecurity and digital crises; and geopolitical and political crises.

Leadership and decision-making; crisis communication and stakeholder engagement; crisis learning and organizational memory; post-crisis recovery and transformation; and innovation and digital transformation during crises.

Resilient organizational culture and values; agile and adaptive organizational structures; human resource management in crisis; supply chain resilience and risk management; and crisis-driven collaboration and partnerships.
