Maria Vodenicharova has been part of the University of National and World Economy for the past 30 years. All through this period she’s been in the field of Logistics – studying, teaching, and researching.

Currently, she is an associate professor in Business logistics and lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students in 4 disciplines – Logistics systems, Quality management, Project management, and scientific ethics.

In the period 2020-2024 she has been Vice-Dean for Scientific and Research Activity, with Economics of Infrastructure Faculty.

Since 2024 she’s been Vice-rector of Scientific and Research Activity. She’s been coordinating Scientific and Research Activities as far as requirements by Low and the approved intra-university normative acts.

She has been a member of the Program Council in Scientific and Research Activity from 2020- to now at the University of National and World Economy and have been evaluating project proposals and monitoring task performance.

Her professional scientific research interests have been in the fields of logistics, quality, project management, food supply chain management, and gamification of high-education.

She joined the editorial board of Transnational Supply Chain Research on August 25, 2025, as an editorial member.
