Prof. Marcin Dębowski is a Professor at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and Director of the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Protection. He also serves as Chair of the Scientific Council of the Discipline of Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy and is a member of the Committee on Environmental Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on environmental engineering, wastewater and sludge treatment, anaerobic digestion, renewable energy, bioenergy production, biowaste valorization, nutrient recovery, and circular resource flows. His expertise aligns with Synthetic Ecological Engineering through the development of engineered environmental systems, sustainable resource recovery technologies, ecological design, and climate-resilient infrastructure supporting planetary sustainability.
